It was rare, I was there. The Eras Tour Milan Night ✌️
45 Songs, Countless Memories – My Swiftie Dream Come True
July 14, 2024: A Night to Remember with Taylor Swift
Finally, after so many years, I attended Taylor Swift's concert, and it was an unforgettable experience that exceeded all my expectations. I was 11 years old when I first discovered Taylor Swift online. While I appreciated her music back then, I wasn’t a die-hard fan (no offense). But after seeing her live, I completely understand the fervor of her fans. My first comment to my friends after the concert was, "I would have paid more; she totally deserves it."
Describing it as just a concert isn’t accurate; it was more like a musical. Taylor performed 45 songs, covering all eras of her career, making every moment special and unique. The event was filled with sparkling outfits that I would totally steal from her, including all those Louboutin shoes. She changed dresses within seconds, had dancers, props on stage, and a variety of instruments. It was literally mind-blowing. She seems like such a nice woman, and props to her for being able to dance and sing for more than three hours straight. I had to sit down at least twice for a few seconds; otherwise, I wouldn’t have made it to the end 🙈. PS. What vitamins are you taking, Taylor? I would love to know!
Taylor sang and danced non-stop, starting with "Miss Americana" and singing/screaming along with the audience to "All Too Well," past hits like "Love Story" to "Fortnight," and finishing with "Karma." The energy was palpable, and each song was greeted with enthusiasm from a delirious crowd, especially (at least for me) with the surprise songs. Night 2 really won! “Mr. Perfectly Fine” x “Red” and my beloved “Getaway Car” x “OOTW” - manifesting really works.
The Opening Act: Paramore
Before diving into the night, I have to mention the amazing Paramore, who opened for Taylor. My teenage dream came true!
Paramore’s performance was electrifying and set the perfect tone for the evening. They performed a mix of their classic hits, bringing a dynamic energy that had the crowd hyped from the start. Hayley Williams, the lead vocalist, delivered an incredible performance, showcasing her powerful vocals and charismatic stage presence. The band's synergy was palpable, with fan favorites like "Still Into You," "The Only Exception," and "Hard Times." Each song was met with enthusiastic cheers and sing-alongs, proving that Paramore still holds a special place in the hearts of many older fans.
Their tight musicality and engaging performance style made them the perfect opening act for Taylor Swift. Their ability to connect with the audience and build excitement for the main event was evident, and they left the stage with the crowd eagerly anticipating Taylor's performance.
The Outfits
Taylor's outfits were a spectacle in themselves, with countless costume changes throughout the evening. Each outfit was meticulously crafted, featuring sequins, rhinestones, and precious stones, designed by major fashion brands. Every outfit represented a different era of Taylor's career, paying homage to each phase of her extraordinary artistic evolution.
From the sparkling and colorful bodysuit by Atelier Versace to the ethereal, flowing gown for "Folklore and Evermore" made by Alberta Ferretti, every look was a testament to Taylor's commitment to artistry and performance. Her "Reputation" era outfits were crafted by Roberto Cavalli, while her "Midnights" era saw designs by Oscar de la Renta. For "Enchanted," she wore a new Zuhair Murad gown.
The craftsmanship of these outfits did not go unnoticed. Each change was not just a switch of clothes but a transformation that helped tell the story of Taylor's journey through music. The attention to detail in every stitch and embellishment was a clear indicator of the high fashion influence on her stage wardrobe.
Conclusion
Taylor Swift's concert was more than a musical performance; it was a theatrical spectacle. The concert at San Siro was an unforgettable experience, masterfully combining music, dance, and fashion in an extraordinary performance made by her and her entourage. If you have the occasion, go and see her live—you won't regret it. I'll leave you with some videos from the evening, apologizing in advance for the noise.
