Sweat, Smiles and Soaring Melodies: Bunt Takes Milan by Storm
A Journey Through Electronic Music with DJ Bunt, Featuring Special Guest The Ironix
Last Friday, May 3rd, Milan's electronic music scene was set ablaze as DJ Bunt, the solo project of German artist Levi Wijk, graced the stage at Arca venue. For those unacquainted with his sound, Bunt has been captivating audiences with his unique blend of electronic folk music, seamlessly blending the spirit of Avicii with the energy of Justice, Basement Jaxx, and Swedish House Mafia, infused with the innovative touch of Fred Again.
It was Bunt's inaugural show in Milan, and the anticipation hung thick in the air. As the first notes reverberated through the venue, the crowd erupted in cheers, ready to be swept away by the sonic journey about to unfold. And swept away they were!

Here's why DJ Bunt's Milan live set left an indelible mark:
A Genre-Bending Masterclass: Throughout the night, Bunt expertly navigated through a diverse soundscape, seamlessly transitioning between high-energy anthems and remixes of classics. This constant evolution kept the audience on their toes, ensuring an electrifying atmosphere from start to finish.
A Touch of Avicii and Fred Again Magic: Bunt's music pays homage to the late electronic music legend, drawing inspiration from Avicii's groundbreaking work. Yet, he adds his modern twist, incorporating the innovative sampling and textural elements synonymous with Fred Again's sound. The result is a refreshingly unique listening experience that resonates with both nostalgia and innovation. This fusion of influences was palpable in the crowd's ecstatic reaction, creating a moment of pure euphoria captured perfectly in the video below.

Infectious Energy and Stage Presence: Bunt's passion for his craft was palpable, radiating through every beat. His enthusiasm was infectious, creating an atmosphere of pure joy and connection within the venue.
One song that stood out was Paperplanes, a personal favourite of mine.
Accompanied by my best friend, who was new to the scene, we were both swept up in the shared excitement and joy of the evening. Meeting other fans who shared our passion for electronic music only heightened the experience, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
I must commend Levi for his incredible kindness, evident from the moment he responded to my DM months ago, ensuring our names were added to the sold-out guest list. This small gesture elevated the experience and solidified my admiration for him as both an artist and a person 🫶🏻
In conclusion, witnessing Bunt's inaugural live show in Milan was an unforgettable experience filled with amazing music, positive vibes and a lot of dancing. Every song I had hoped to hear was played and the energy in the room was simply electric.
Beyond Bunt's stellar performance, I'd like to give a shoutout to the opening act, The Ironix. This talented German duo, consisting of Felix Eickhoff and Simon Reichardt, set the stage for an incredible night and deserves recognition for their contribution to the evening's success. Their unique blend of electronic music perfectly warmed up the crowd and left everyone eager for what was to come. Be sure to check out their music to experience their talent for yourself!
